Job summary

Jobtailor in San Ramon, CA is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on basic biomedical equipment. You will drive customer satisfaction through service excellence and support customers in hospitals and clinical settings.

Document all repair actions, submit reports on schedule, maintain parts inventory, and coordinate with vendors while adhering to GEHC-style policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or associate-level degree in biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and electro-mechanical devices.

• enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment

Requirements

• AS, BS degree, military education, certificate program, current student with less than 12 months from completion OR High School Diploma/GED with 6 months experience servicing electronic, IT or mechanical equipment.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
• High school diploma/GED with demonstrated work experience, or a completed AS or BS degree strongly preferred.
• Experience in customer facing role(s).
• Experience interfacing both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
• Knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
• Strong customer communication skills.
• Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner.
