Job summary

Children's National Hospital is seeking a Research Biomed Operation Technician to support CNRI faculty and staff. You will help manage equipment, facility needs, and coordination with multiple teams across CNH, EVS, safety, IT, and vendors.

The position requires an Associate’s Degree in engineering tech or related field with 1–2 years of related work or internship experience; a BS in engineering/bioengineering is preferred. Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Technology or related field required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, electronics or applicable field; bioengineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline day-to-day operational support to CNRI staff and equipment.
• Serve as service point of contact for CNRI equipment/facility issues with CNH facilities team.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance, moves and deliveries; facility inspections and user training.
• Work with CNRI staff, CNH facilities, EVS, safety, and vendors as needed.
• Maintain records of repairs, calibration, and tests.
• Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety staff to ensure compliance.
