Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon division in Raritan, NJ, is seeking a Summer 2027 R&D Intern in Wound Closure and Healing. You will join a collaborative team of scientists and engineers supporting new product development with a focus on antibacterial technologies and cardiovascular surgery.

You must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, pursuing Biomedical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering.

Qualifikationen

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have transportation to commute daily
• Relocate to on-site lab
• At least first year of undergrad completed
• Able to balance multiple projects and stay organized
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel
• Intern Terms: May/June to August 2027; flexible dates
• Work full-time (40 hrs/week) during internship

Aufgaben

• Design key project studies with teams
• Test and characterize prototype devices and competitor products
• Document protocols, reports, and meeting minutes
• Collaborate with engineers and external suppliers on project activities
• Perform hands-on lab work in engineering labs
• Use machining processes for medical device builds
• Attend Voice-of-Customer labs with surgeons
