Job summary

Johnson & Johnson's Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery R&D team in Raritan, NJ is recruiting an intern to work on developing new topical skin adhesives for surgery applications. This 40-hour-per-week internship offers exposure to chemistry, polymer science, and medical device development within an established MedTech organization.

The role requires pursuing a technical degree with a 3.4+ GPA, freshman-year completion, and strong lab and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in a technical field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.4 strongly preferred.
• Must have completed at least freshman year.
• Proficient in lab-based chemistry activities.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on laboratory work in chemistry and engineering labs.
• Develop test methods and fixtures, and conduct studies.
• Document tests with protocols and final reports, meeting minutes.
• Craft and evaluate prototypes for topical skin adhesives.
• Participate in VOC labs and collaborate with engineers and suppliers.
