Job summary

Leidos Inc. in Frederick, Maryland seeks a Biomedical Life Scientist to support CDMRP by planning and executing scientific meetings, recruiting experts, and drafting meeting materials.

This hybrid role requires a minimum of 3 days/week in the Frederick, MD office and some local travel in the DC/Baltimore area. The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in biology or life sciences with 1+ years of related experience, strong written and oral communication, and proficiency with MS

Qualifications

• Master's degree in biology, life sciences, or related field with 1+ years of related experience.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance per contract.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Strong scientific writing skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using IT data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a variety of scientific meetings.
• Recruit scientists, clinicians, and consumer advocates to participate in scientific meetings.
• Develop and track schedules for tasks and deliverables.
• Provide scientific notetaking support by recording critical information from scientific meetings and writing comprehensive meeting reports.
• Draft scientific materials, including meeting summaries and funding opportunities.
• Conduct analyses of funding portfolio data and assembling data to prepare tables, graphs, and slides.
