Job summary

Leidos seeks a Biomedical Life Scientist in Frederick, MD to support CDMRP in a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office with some local travel.

The role involves planning and documenting scientific meetings, recruiting scientists, drafting meeting materials, and analyzing funding portfolio data to create tables, graphs, and slides. A Master’s degree in biology with 1+ year experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biology, life sciences, or related discipline with 1+ year of related experience.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Strong scientific writing skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using IT data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a variety of scientific meetings.
• Recruit scientists, clinicians, and consumer advocates to participate in scientific meetings.
• Develop and track schedules for tasks and deliverables.
• Provide scientific notetaking support by recording information from meetings and writing meeting reports.
• Draft scientific materials, including meeting summaries and funding opportunities.
• Analyze funding portfolio data and assemble data for tables, graphs, and slides.
