Job summary

Piper Companies in Philadelphia, PA seeks an experienced Biomedical Imaging Specialist II or III to maintain and repair hospital imaging equipment across multiple sites.

You will perform PM, calibration, troubleshooting, and provide training to staff, while ensuring regulatory compliance and documentation; on-call rotation and ongoing OEM/vendor training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in medical imaging repair; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience supporting Ultrasound, X-Ray, Cath Lab, Anesthesia, or related imaging systems.
• Preferred certifications: CBET, CRES, Military DoD BMET, or OEM/vendor repair certs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; knowledge of QA/PM standards; CMMS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM), calibration, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of biomedical and imaging equipment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance requirements, maintaining accurate technical documentation.
• Review FDA, manufacturer, and recall notifications; investigate equipment-related incident reports to support patient safety.
• Provide in-service training and technical presentations to staff on equipment operation and electrical safety.
• Participate in on-call rotation, flexible scheduling, vendor training, and support across multiple hospital locations as needed.

• 3+ years of progressive experience performing component and/or board-level repair in medical imaging (5+ years preferred).

• Preferred certifications: CBET, CRES, Military (DoD) BMET, or OEM/vendor repair certifications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of QA/PM standards, and proficiency with CMMS/work order systems.
