Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a clinical engineering professional to provide preventive maintenance, testing, calibration, and repair for medical imaging equipment across multiple locations. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and cost-effective equipment uptime.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in Electronics or Biomedical fields and 1 year of imaging equipment experience.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields, or specialized imaging training.
  • 1 year progressive experience maintaining medical imaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of electronic test equipment and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to use service documentation and manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Ability to work well in a team and handle changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Completes the preventive maintenance workload for assigned equipment to achieve high PM compliance.
  • Maintains accurate device control records and enters scheduled/non-scheduled work orders.
  • Evaluates repair scope and determines cost-effective actions to maximize uptime.
  • Identifies and procures parts and materials to service equipment at low cost.
  • Performs repairs on defective equipment.
  • Provides in-service training to clinical engineering technicians.
  • Assists with monitoring work by outside service providers.
