Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a BMET II in Chicago, IL. You will perform planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on patient care equipment and manage service schedules to ensure uptime.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in electronics/biomed equipment technology (or equivalent) with 3 years of hospital equipment service experience, and a valid driver's license for travel as needed. Comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics/biomedical equipment technology, military training or equivalent experience.
• Three years servicing clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital environment.
• Valid driver’s license for field travel, if required.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong customer service, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on patient care and related equipment.
• Manages all assigned equipment and schedules service.
• Develops PM procedures and maintains procedure manuals.
• Ensures test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Responds to department calls to evaluate and address concerns.
• Researches and orders repair parts within budget parameters.
• Maintains freight logs, invoices and training for users as needed.
• Participates in quality improvement and risk management activities.
