Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks a BMET I in Aurora, IL to perform maintenance and safety inspections on a wide range of medical equipment. You will manage equipment service, perform inspections, calibrations, and respond quickly to on-site issues, while collaborating with clinical staff.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of hospital equipment experience, an associate degree in electronics/biomedical tech, and a valid driver’s license for potential travel.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics/biomedical equipment technology or equivalent.
• 1–3 years servicing clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital environment.
• Valid driver’s license for field service roles requiring travel.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on patient care equipment.
• Manages all assigned equipment and schedules service.
• Performs pre-acceptance inspections and develops PM procedures.
• Ensures test equipment is calibrated within intervals.
• Responds to calls to evaluate and rectify issues.
• Maintains purchase order logs and processes invoices for field staff.
• Provides informal training to equipment users and staff.
• Maintains an orderly work environment and participates in meetings.
