Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years related work experience required.
• 2 years experience in the general field of electronics.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, tests, troubleshoots to component level, repair, and calibrate to manufacturer’s specifications all types of electronic and electro-mechanical instrumentation.
• Utilizes schematics, technical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Prepares and maintains records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance using both ‘paper’ and ‘computer’ systems.
• Assists in the installation of capital equipment purchases of Direct Patient-Care-Related electronic instrumentation / systems.
• Performs additional support tasks within the Department of Clinical Engineering.
• Maintains knowledge of advances in the electronics field and equipment changes within the hospital.
