St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to repair, test and calibrate clinical equipment across the network. The role supports clinical staff with technical advice and maintains records of all maintenance activities.

The position requires basic education in Biomedical Engineering/ electronics with at least six months of experience, and a valid driver's license to travel to network locations. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Associate's, bachelor's degree or military equivalent program in Biomedical Engineering / Electronics, Electronic Technology or related field.
• Minimum of six months of experience in repair and maintenance of medical equipment.

Responsabilités

• Performs scheduled maintenance, electrical safety and functional testing on medical equipment per manufacturer protocols.
• Repairs defective medical equipment to meet or exceed specifications.
• Oversee manufacturer or third party vendors and assist other department devices as needed.
• Provide technical consultation to other department personnel.
• Document all work timely and maintain equipment records.
• Participate in staff in-service education and pre-purchase evaluation programs.
