Responsibilities

As our Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET), you’ll support patient care by ensuring medical equipment functions properly and accurately. This role enables healthcare teams to confidently utilize diagnostic equipment through a combination of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and equipment repairs.

• Performs preventive maintenance, safety tests, and calibration for equipment.
• Provides equipment repair within the responsible area.
• Prioritizes workload effectively with minimal supervision.
• Completes all necessary record-keeping for work orders received and completed.
• Addresses customer service issues and complaints with minimal supervision.
• Assists in ordering parts and supplies necessary for equipment servicing.
• Performs cross-training to other technicians on acquired skills.
• Communicates effectively and partners with teammates and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent military education, technical program graduate, or equivalent training validated through certifications or experience.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience servicing technical equipment.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CBET certification preferred.
