Responsibilities

As our Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET), you’ll support patient care by ensuring medical equipment functions properly and accurately. This role enables healthcare teams to confidently utilize diagnostic equipment, achieved through a combination of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and equipment repairs.

1. Performs preventive maintenance, safety tests, and calibration for equipment.
2. Provides equipment repair within responsible areas.
3. Prioritizes workload effectively with minimal supervision.
4. Completes all necessary record-keeping for work orders received and completed.
5. Resolves customer service issues and complaints with minimal supervision.
6. Assists in ordering parts and supplies necessary for equipment servicing.
7. Performs cross-training to other technicians on acquired skills.
8. Communicates effectively and partners with teammates and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent training/experience validated through certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience servicing technical equipment.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CBET certification preferred.
