Responsibilities

As our Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET), you’ll support patient care by ensuring medical equipment is functioning properly and accurately. Your work involves a combination of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and equipment repairs, enabling healthcare teams to confidently utilize diagnostic equipment when needed.

1. Performs preventative maintenance, safety tests, and calibration for equipment.
2. Provides equipment repair within the responsible area.
3. Prioritizes workload effectively with minimal supervision.
4. Completes all necessary record-keeping for work orders received and completed.
5. Addresses customer service issues and complaints at the organizational level with minimal supervision.
6. Assists in ordering parts and supplies necessary for servicing equipment.
7. Performs cross-training to other technicians on acquired skills.
8. Communicates effectively and partners with teammates and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent military education, technical program graduate, or equivalent training validated through certifications or experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience servicing technical equipment.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CBET certification preferred.
