Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks a BMET I to perform maintenance and safety inspections on hospital equipment. You will manage equipment, schedule service, and coordinate repair parts while supporting clinical staff.

The role requires an Associates degree in electronics/biomedical equipment technology or equivalent, and 1–3 years of hospital experience. A valid driver’s license is preferred for field work and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on patient care and related equipment.
• Manages all assigned equipment and schedules service.
• Performs pre-acceptance inspections and develops PM procedures.
• Ensures test equipment is calibrated and working properly.
• Responds to clinical department calls to resolve issues.
• Researches and initiates orders for repair parts within budget.
• Maintains PO log and validates invoices (field service).
• Provides informal training to equipment users and staff.
• Collaborates with department to improve service strategies.
• Participates in Quality Improvement / Risk Management.
