Job summary

CICONIX, LLC is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician to support the USAISR Research Directorate, Logistics Division in Fort Sam Houston, TX. You will evaluate, repair, install, calibrate, and inspect a wide range of medical research equipment and TMDE, ensuring safety and compliance with government specs.

The role requires 5–7 years of hands-on experience with medical research devices, ability to obtain a government security clearance, and willingness to meet vaccination

Qualifications

• Graduate of a military Biomedical Equipment Specialist/Technician Course or an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Engineering is desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, 7 years preferred.
• Must be familiar with medical research equipment and independently be able to repair, calibrate, and maintain all equipment, instrumentation, and support systems of moderate complexity used in the research facility.
• U.S. Citizenship and a successful background investigation are required.
• Willingness to comply with the government vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect medical research equipment and instrumentation, including life-support equipment, standalone equipment and/or components.
• Repair electronic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical and mechanical equipment, troubleshoot, and replace defective parts.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance Inspections and document maintenance actions in the designated system.
• Set up and install new medical research devices and assist with on-site vendor services as needed.
• Operate TMDE to support complex equipment and systems including radiographic/fluoroscopic devices.
