Job summary
CICONIX LLC is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician to support USAISR Research Directorate, Logistics Division at Fort Sam Houston, TX. Responsibilities include evaluating, repairing, installing, maintaining and calibrating medical research equipment and life-support devices in a government contract setting.
The role requires extensive hands-on repair skills, strong documentation, and the ability to work with research staff to provide technical guidance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience; 7 years preferred.
- Familiarity with medical research equipment and independent repair, calibration and maintenance of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, repair, install, maintain, calibrate and inspect medical research equipment and instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures; replace defective components as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance, document maintenance and repairs, and manage logs.
- Ensure equipment safety and performance per manufacturer specifications; assist with software upgrades.
- Communicate with research staff to provide technical guidance and training.
