Job summary
Mercyhealth is seeking a Supervisor of Biomedical Equipment Maintenance to oversee the safe, reliable operation of medical devices across our facilities. You will supervise maintenance staff, schedule work, manage equipment records, and coordinate projects with leadership and clinical teams.
The role emphasizes budget support, process improvements, and close collaboration with internal customers. An associate degree in Biomedical Engineering/Electronics or related certification is required; 2–3
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering/Electronics or related field; 2–3 years of biomedical experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record as per policy.
Responsibilities
- Reviews work orders and preventive maintenance tasks to determine priorities.
- Schedules repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment by self-performance and delegation.
- Directs maintenance activities to ensure safety, quality, and availability of medical equipment.
- Manages CMMS database and equipment records.
- Coordinates special projects and training of workers.
- Assists in department budget preparation and monitors expenditures.
