Job summary

Mercyhealth seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to ensure safe operation of medical equipment through inspections, calibrations, repairs, and preventive maintenance. You will troubleshoot, test performance, and support regulatory compliance while collaborating with clinicians and other technicians.

The role involves CMMS data entry, inventory support, and possible travel to Mercyhealth locations. Schedule: Full Time, on-site in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering/Electronics or related field required.
• Military Biomedical certification is acceptable in lieu of degree.
• 2–3 years of direct Bio‑Medical experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, calibrate, repair, install, and perform preventive maintenance on biomedical devices.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct performance testing.
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Enter and retrieve work orders, assets, PM schedules in CMMS.
• Assist with inventory management and department budgets.
• May require flexible hours and travel to Mercyhealth locations.
