Job summary

Capital i is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician - Information Systems (BMET-IS) in Fort Meade, SD. The role installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots networked medical devices, and supports enterprise medical information systems while aligning with regulatory standards.

You will work with hospital IT, clinical engineering, and vendors to optimize system performance and security, ensuring reliable operation of healthcare technology in Biomedical Engineering environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of hospital or healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance.
• At least one year of experience supporting medical information systems and device connectivity.
• Experience with medical IT asset tracking systems and CMMS.
• Knowledge of FDA/JCAHO/ISO regulatory standards and HIPAA considerations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot networked medical equipment and systems.
• Support medical information systems and databases including medical records software.
• Apply patches and cybersecurity measures to ensure secure operations.
• Configure network settings (VLANs, IPs, ACLs) for medical devices.
• Collaborate with IT, clinical engineering, and vendors to ensure interoperability.
• Document configurations, security settings, and troubleshooting activities.
