The Salisbury VA Healthcare System is seeking a Biomedical Engineer within the Healthcare Technology Management department to help develop and implement the facility's medical equipment management program.

The role involves overseeing servers and networks, diagnostic software, virtualization, clinical applications, and cybersecurity, while coordinating patches, backups, and disaster recovery. It also includes training HTM staff and supporting committee work.

Responsabilidades

• Develops, implements, and manages medical and special purpose servers and networks, diagnostic software, virtual platforms, and clinical applications software.
• Manages projects involving medical equipment and clinical systems, including procurement, installation, and maintenance.
• Provides guidance and mentorship for professional and technical development.
• Facilitates operating system updates, upgrades, and virus protection.
• Evaluates compatibility of medical equipment to integrate with the electronic health record or other systems.
• Coordinates software patches, updates, and backups with staff and manufacturers.
• Implements cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery plans, and responds to incidents.
