ERP International, LLC, based in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking Biomedical Maintenance Technicians with a focus on Info Systems for full-time roles serving the VA Health Care System. The team handles maintenance, cyber security, and equipment management for clinical systems and networked medical devices.

Qualified candidates bring hospital experience and knowledge of medical information systems, networking, and regulatory standards.

Competenze

• Three years hospital or healthcare experience with at least 1 year in medical information systems and networking.
• Advanced knowledge of computer virus protection software, patches, security tools, electronics, and networks.
• Competency with computer and server-based medical equipment, medical record databases, and software including TCP/IP, HL7, networking, DHCP/DNS, DICOM.
• Ability to interpret schematics, drawings, and technical literature; distinguish networking problems from non-networking problems.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and ISO standards; understanding of network test equipment usage.

• Provide professional services for technology assessment, implementation, and sustainment of medical devices; support cybersecurity management.

Pay Range:The salary range for this position is $80,000/yr - $110,000/yr. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including but not limited to position, credentials, experience, education, and skill set.

Responsibilities

The tasks within the requirement include planned maintenance; corrective maintenance; and professional services for the technology assessment, implementation, and sustainment of networked medical devices and clinical systems, as well as healthcare consulting/internal operation support regarding medical equipment management and cybersecurity management.

Qualifications

Required:

Education/Certification:

• Associates or higher degree in the biomedical technology or biomedical engineering field; OR
• Associates or higher degree in electronics, a field of information technology, or engineering (other than biomedical engineering) AND 1 year of creditable experience; OR
• Completion of the Department of Defense (DOD) biomedical equipment technician training program; OR
• Completion of a DOD training program in repair and maintenance of electronic systems or information technology AND 1 year of creditable experience; OR
• Completion of a biomedical engineering technician or Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) certificate program that included an internship or apprenticeship; OR
• Completion of biomedical engineering technician or HTM certificate program that did not include an internship AND 1 year of creditable experience; OR
• Hold or having ever held certification as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES), or Certified Healthcare Technology Manager (CHTM).

Experience/Skills:

• A minimum of three years of hospital or healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance, with a minimum of one-year specialized experience in medical information systems and networking.
• Current and advanced knowledge of computer virus protection software, available software patches and upgrades, information security tools, electronics, computers, and network theory.
• Demonstrated competency in utilizing and maintaining computer and server-based medical equipment, medical record databases, and proprietary and generic software; experience with TCP/IP, HL7, networking, network security and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standards; experience maintaining, interfacing and troubleshooting networked medical equipment to include VLAN configuration, IP addressing, sub-netting, and network security; ability to interpret, identify and apply network engineering principles and practices; and ability to distinguish networking problems from non-networking problems.
• Understanding of regulatory agencies’ requirements, industry regulatory requirements and International Standard Organization standards.
• Familiarity with the setup and application of network test equipment and tools.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings.
