Job summary

Axle is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst to join the NIH/NIA team in Baltimore, MD, focusing on web‑based data collection, imaging data automation, and database management. You will design, implement, and maintain systems supporting real‑time medical data collection and analysis, mentoring staff and ensuring data integrity.

Responsibilities include automating medical image workflows (DICOM), coordinating across servers and equipment, and producing reports while working closely with physicians,

Qualifications

• Provide expert recommendations on applying Perl CGI to study investigators.
• Advise physicians/technologists on electronic media use for record keeping and data management.
• Automate image transfer, storage, and conversion using DICOM across multiple servers and equipment.
• Mentor computer support technician in data collection and web app troubleshooting.
• Advise clinical technicians on data collection techniques and data integrity auditing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full lifecycle of web-based applications.
• Design and implement novel web-based data collection systems for real-time data collection.
• Create and maintain databases with data transfers and backups from real-time instruments.
• Develop reports and documentation for programming tasks and ensure code is well documented.
