Job summary

Probo Medical is seeking a Biomed Field Service Technician to install, service, calibrate, and repair OEM medical devices across hospitals and clinics. You will document inspections, keep records, and train customers while traveling up to 80% of the time.

A strong electronics background and the ability to work independently are required. Qualifications include a degree in electronics or biomedical engineering, plus experience with test equipment and schematics.

Qualifications

• Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, biomedical technology, electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Military equivalency acceptable.
• Experience in field service, hospital-based, or military settings.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive and planned maintenance and PM upgrades.
• Install and de-install OEM equipment and conduct site inspections.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through service excellence.
• Submit expense reports per department guidelines.
• Train customers on basic operation of medical devices.
• Respond to inquiries in writing, in person, or by phone with urgency.
• Escalate issues to service management following protocol.
• Promote service contracts and support sales in the assigned territory.
• Ensure accurate records for installations, repairs, and regulatory paperwork.
• Keep inventory records and return unused parts promptly.
• Perform PMs on time and minimize equipment downtime.
