Job summary

Sprague is seeking a Control Room Operator for its Westminster, MA biomass plant. You will lead daily operation from the control room, monitor PLC-based systems and older analog controls, and coordinate with maintenance and management to ensure safe, reliable power generation.

The role requires MA 2nd Class Engineer License, a valid driver’s license, and 1–2 years in plant operations or maintenance. Schedule includes 3/12 and 4/12 cycles with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have power plant operation and/or maintenance experience.
• Basic computer skills and data entry能力.
• Good verbal communications skills and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, operate, shut down and secure equipment from the control room or field.
• Troubleshoot and assist with preventive and reactive maintenance activities.
• Access and execute lock out/tagout, de-energization and zero energy verification.
• Maintain logs of operating conditions and report irregularities.
• Monitor process variables and respond to variances to ensure safe power generation.
