Job summary

Sprague Resources GP LLC in Springfield, NH is seeking a Fuel Yard Operator for our biomass fueled power plant. The role involves moving, storing, blending and feeding biomass fuel to the boiler, with a Monday–Friday schedule and some weekend availability.

The successful candidate will operate equipment safely, maintain fuel piles and ensure smooth fuel flow to the boiler, reporting any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Two years of operating loaders, tractors, forklift or similar equipment.
• Knowledge of safe operation of loaders, tractors and forklifts.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to perform the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate and load in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure adequate flow of blended fuel to boiler.
• Manage fuel piles.
• Maintain cleanliness of rolling stock and fuel forwarding systems.
• Report unsafe or abnormal conditions immediately to Supervisor or Plant Manager.
• Position reports to the Control Room Operator.
