Job summary

Alaska Gateway School District is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support the Tok School Biomass and perform district-wide maintenance duties. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining the Biomass Steam boiler, general facility maintenance, and performing grounds work.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, vocational training, and capability to work under demanding conditions. The position requires an AK driver’s license and offers a competitive salary starting at $24.34 per hour.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of vocational technical school or two years’ experience in building trades preferred.
• Valid AK driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Experience with commercial facilities maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of Tok Biomass Steam boiler.
• General maintenance and repairs of facilities and equipment.
• Perform carpentry work and grounds maintenance.
• Be available on-call 24/7 as needed.
