Job summary

Candel Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager, Biomarker & Biospecimen Operations to oversee biospecimen collection, tracking, shipment, and vendor management across clinical programs.

You will partner with Translational Medicine, Clinical Operations and Data Management to ensure compliant, inspection-ready biospecimen operations throughout the trial lifecycle. Required: a Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field and 5+ years (Manager) / 8+ years (Senior Manager) in biotech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related field and relevant clinical biospecimen experience.
• 5+ years (Manager) or 8+ years (Senior Manager) in biotech/CRO settings with biospecimen work.
• Experience with ICH-GCP and biospecimen operational best practices.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee biospecimen collection, processing, shipment, and inventory across studies.
• Develop study-specific biospecimen management plans and SOPs.
• Coordinate with Clinical Operations and external vendors for logistics.
• Ensure specimen integrity, chain of custody, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage biomarker lab activities, budgets, and CAPA processes.
