Job summary

La Sierra University in Riverside, CA seeks a Biology Student Laboratory Teaching Assistant (TA2) to assist the instructor with preparation and operation of laboratory classes, in-person, virtual, or hybrid. The TA2 may help with grading and clerical tasks, and may provide instruction in the laboratory.

The TA2 must be a current La Sierra student enrolled for Fall 2026, have taken BIOL466/L within the last four years with at least a B, and be ready to start on or before September 21.

Qualifications

• Must be a La Sierra University student enrolled in Fall 2026.
• Must have taken BIOL466/L within the last 4 years and passed with a grade B or higher.
• Must be able to work a lab section for the full duration of the class lab.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructor with preparation and operation of laboratory classes (in-person, virtual, or hybrid).
• May provide instruction in the laboratory and assist with grading of laboratory work and related clerical tasks.
• Coordinate set-up, resets, take-down, and meetings as part of running the lab and lecture.
