Job summary

La Sierra University seeks a Teaching Assistant 1 (TA1) to act as the course reader and data clerk for the instructor. Responsibilities include grading quizzes, exams, and assignments, filing and data entry, and assisting with lecture and exam prep in in-person, virtual, or hybrid formats.

The TA1 must be a currently enrolled La Sierra University student for Fall 2026, have taken BIOL301 within the last four years with a grade of B or higher, and be able to start on or before September 21.

Qualifications

• Must be a La Sierra University student enrolled in Fall 2026.
• Must have taken BIOL301 within last 4 years and passed with a grade of B or higher.
• Ability to work flexible hours and assist in grading, data entry, and proctoring.

Responsibilities

• Grade quizzes/exams/assignments.
• Maintain class records and filing (physical or digital).
• Assist instructor with lecture and exam preparation.
• Proctor exams as needed.
