Job summary

La Sierra University in Riverside, CA seeks a Biology Student Laboratory Teaching Assistant (TA2) to assist with prep and operation of laboratory classes, in-person, virtual, or hybrid. The TA2 will provide instruction during labs and may assist with grading and clerical tasks. Must be a current La Sierra student and meet course prerequisites.

Start by Sept 21, with availability for the full lab duration and related activities. Wage range $16.90-$17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be La Sierra University student currently enrolled in Fall 2026 quarter.
• Must have taken BIOL185/L or BIOL474/L within last 4 years and passed with B or higher or been TA2 for those courses.
• Able to work full lab hours including set-up, resets, take-down and related activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and operation of laboratory classes (in-person, virtual, or hybrid).
• Provide instruction during the laboratory session.
• Assist with grading of lab assignments/quizzes and related clerical tasks.
• Work full-time for the class lab duration and participate in setup, take-down, and meetings.
