Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biology with at least 18 graduate hours in biology; additional grad work in related fields preferred.
• Teaching microbiology, plant biology, biotechnology, or biochemistry with related labs preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to teach diverse populations and use instructional technology effectively.
• Experience with data-driven instruction, assessment tools, and curriculum development.
• Online and two-year college teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare syllabi for lectures and labs; deliver 36+ semester hours yearly.
• Grade quizzes and assignments and maintain Canvas records; assign final grades.
• Maintain office hours and advise students; contribute to retention efforts.
• Participate in department planning, course development, and committee work.
• Contribute to grant writing and division projects.
