Job summary

The Biology Program at Oregon State University – Cascades in Bend, Oregon invites applications for fixed-term, non-tenure-track Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2025-2026 year and Fall Term 2026. Positions may be renewed or transitioned to instructional roles at the Dean's discretion.

Appointments may begin Sept 16, 2025, Dec 16, 2025, Mar 16, 2026, or Sept 16, 2026, and will occur on the Bend campus, teaching on-campus undergraduate Biology courses.

Qualifications

• University-level teaching experience required; ability to design and assess biology courses.
• Curriculum development experience for biology courses; inclusive teaching practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration with colleagues and students.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate biology courses on a term-by-term basis.
• Support course assessment processes and improve teaching effectiveness.
• Advise and mentor students; maintain regular office hours and assess student learning outcomes.
