Job summary

Oregon State University is seeking one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track instructors to teach psychology courses in Bend, Oregon, for the 2025-2026 academic year and Fall 2026. Appointments may renew or transition to instructional roles at the Dean's discretion.

Start dates include Sept 16, 2025; Dec 16, 2025; Mar 16, 2026; or Sept 16, 2026. Responsibilities center on teaching undergraduate psychology, with 95% teaching and 5% advising.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology is required.
• PhD or terminal degree in psychology or related field is preferred.
• Teaching experience at the college/university level is expected.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and student success.

Responsibilities

• Teach Psychology courses on a term-by-term basis.
• Administer course assessments and improve teaching effectiveness.
• Advise students and maintain records; perform minor administrative tasks.
