Job summary

Oregon State University, located in Bend, Oregon, invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track Instructor positions for the 2025-2026 academic year and Fall 2026. The OSU-Cascades Engineering Program seeks instructors to teach on a term-by-term basis in Energy Systems Engineering and Computer Engineering.

Positions may be reviewed for renewal or transition to instructional roles at the Dean's discretion.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in one of the listed engineering fields (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Systems, Computer Engineering).
• Independent teaching experience at the college or university level.
• Ability to design, teach and assess courses that promote inclusive learning practices.

Responsibilities

• Teaching 95%: Administer and teach course(s) term-by-term in Energy Systems, Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Complete course assessment processes and continuously improve teaching effectiveness.
• 5%: Advise students, maintain office hours, perform records and minor administrative tasks, including grades.
