Job summary

Source One Technical Solutions, LLC is seeking a Scientist, Large Molecule / Drug Substance for a 3–6 month onsite contract in Spring House, PA. The candidate will join Janssen’s MSAT group to advance process development for biologics purification and perform DOE-driven experiments.

The ideal candidate has advanced degrees in chemistry/biotech with LC chromatography experience and a track record in large molecule manufacturing. Strong communication and mentoring skills are desired.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./MS/BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology with required experience.
• Experience in liquid chromatography (Protein A, CEX, AEX) on AKTA PURE or AVANT.
• Experience with large molecule drug substance manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of biologics solution concentration (SP-TFF and UF/DF).
• Knowledge of protein characterization methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design and perform process development work to support biologics purification activities.
• Design and execute experiments for upstream and downstream purification development of biologic drugs.
• Contribute to DOE and process validation activities within cross‑functional teams.
• Train and mentor other personnel; write technical memos and keep up with scientific advances.
