Merck is seeking a highly motivated Biologics Process Research & Development postdoctoral fellow to join the Biologics Upstream Process Development group. This multi-year fellowship blends academia with industry, focusing on systems biology, data-driven process understanding, and bioprocess development.

The position offers opportunities to publish and present findings, collaborate across functions, and gain experience in biologics manufacturing while contributing to pipeline projects.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required with by-June-2027 deadline or earlier.
• Experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
• Strong publication/presentation record and independent research capability.

Responsabilités

• Design, execute, and interpret research studies related to biologics manufacturing and process development.
• Develop and manage an independent research project with multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Investigate relationships among process conditions, cell culture performance, and product characteristics.
• Apply analytical, molecular, and biological methods to generate and interpret data.
• Integrate and analyze multiple data types using statistical and computational tools.
• Develop mechanistic hypotheses and experimental strategies to support process improvement.
• Present research findings at internal and external forums and in peer-reviewed journals.
• Stay current with scientific literature and emerging developments in the field.
