Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Scientist III for our Worcester, MA site to contribute to Analytical Development. You will develop and execute analytical methods for biologics, including LC-MS and biophysical assays, to support product and process development from discovery through commercial stages.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with protein mass spectrometry, HPLC/AKTA, and a strong understanding of protein structure and post-translational modifications, plus

Qualifications

• Degree and relevant hands-on experience in biotech/pharma.
• Hands-on MS/LC methods and protein characterization experience.
• Fundamental understanding of protein structure and PTMs is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform MS analyses of biologics to provide sequence verification and PTM profiles.
• Independently perform separation methods using HPLC and AKTA.
• Perform biophysical methods (e.g., DSC) for characterization of biologics.
• Design and execute experiments for method development and investigations.
• Support process development by performing raw material analysis and metabolomics experiments.
• Generate precise, reliable, and reproducible data promptly.
• Organize and document experiments and results in an electronic lab notebook.
• Draft protocols, method development reports, and technical characterization reports.
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper operation.
