Job summary

AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist I/II to join the Analytical Development Department. The role focuses on development, qualification and execution of analytical methods (HPLC, CE, icIEF) and studies to support CMC development from discovery through clinical phases.

You will independently develop and apply analytical methods, transfer in-process controls to QC, and collaborate across teams to enable biologic program success.

Qualifications

• PhD with 0-4+ years or MS with 10+ years in the specified disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Theoretical and practical understanding of the scientific discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply capillary electrophoresis and HPLC methods for biological process development.
• Transfer fit-for-purpose in-process control methods to QC.
• Provide technical support to QC testing laboratories.
• Publish and present research findings at conferences.
• Mentor/supervise team members as needed.
• Lead development of analytical control strategy for biologic programs.
