Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional bioinformatics or computational biology experience.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or Perl for analysis and automation.
• Strong background in NGS data analysis and genomic data processing.
• Experience with Linux/Unix command line and Git.
• Solid understanding of statistics and databases for data management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting findings.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive bioinformatics analyses on NGS data including QC, alignment, variant calling, and annotation.
• Develop and maintain data management systems and workflows for biorepository samples and metadata.
• Design automated pipelines using scripting languages to streamline processing.
• Collaborate with researchers to deliver tailored analytical solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance for biorepository operations.
• Troubleshoot tools and optimize databases for performance and reliability.
• Document methods and results to support reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
• Provide technical support and training on bioinformatics tools.
• Stay current with emerging bioinformatics technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to research publications and presentations with robust analyses.
