Job summary

M2X Energy Inc. is seeking a Process Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain modular biogas to methanol production systems.

You will serve as the primary contact at the facility, liaising with external stakeholders and supporting SAT and field commissioning with Engineering and Manufacturing teams. The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, data collection, and a strong commitment to safety in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent applied training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology.
• 2+ years of experience operating or maintaining industrial or laboratory test equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools and diagnostic instruments.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with sensors and control systems.
• Familiarity with Human Machine Interface (HMI) system operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) and basic data analysis.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in outdoor or industrial environments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Provide clear daily reports on operating status, findings, and issues to broader team.
• Operate industrial systems; handle methanol storage and transfer to offtake partners.
• Read and understand operating procedures and provide comment.
• Collect and log data and verify equipment performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on systems.
• Assist engineers with Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and system commissioning.
• Maintain organized records of test results, calibration certs, and maintenance logs.
• Support installation and removal of test equipment at field sites.
• Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for specialized equipment support.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables required for operation.
