Job summary

M2X Energy Inc. seeks a Process Operator to operate, monitor and maintain biogas-to-methanol production systems. You will act as the primary site contact, coordinating with engineering teams and external stakeholders, while ensuring data accuracy, safety, and high equipment uptime.

Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical/electrical skills, familiarity with instrumentation and data acquisition, and the ability to work in a fast-paced field environment. Travel and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology.
• 2+ years operating or maintaining industrial or laboratory test equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools and diagnostic instruments.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with sensors and control systems.
• Familiarity with HMI system operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) and basic data analysis.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors or in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Provide clear daily reports on operating status and issues to the team.
• Operate industrial systems and manage methanol storage and transfer to offtake partners.
• Read operating procedures and provide input where needed.
• Collect and log data and verify equipment performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
• Assist engineers with SAT and system commissioning.
• Maintain records of test results, calibration certs, and maintenance logs.
• Support installation/removal of test equipment at field sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized equipment support.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
