Job summary

QPS, LLC in Newark, Delaware seeks a Research Scientist to lead bioanalytical LC-MS/MS studies in a fast-growing GBA group. The role centers on method development, data interpretation, and study management for small molecules, biologics, and oligonucleotides, with a PI-level responsibility on study outcomes.

The candidate will oversee GLP-compliant QA processes, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients to deliver precise, timely results in a mapped pipeline environment.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced degree in analytical disciplines and direct LC-MS/MS experience.
• Direct experience with bioanalytical LC-MS/MS method development and CRO experience preferred.
• Understanding of experimental design and data analysis software is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage multiple sample analysis projects with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and review study protocols and suitability for GLP compliance.
• Coordinate with client and internal resources to plan, conduct, and report studies.
• Evaluate significance of data and report findings.
• Prepare study summaries and reports.
• Set up, utilize, and maintain LC/MS instrumentation.
• Communicate timelines, status, data and inquiries to clients and sites.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and QA documentation; address audit findings.
• Mentor junior scientific staff.
• Develop, validate and run sensitive LC-MS/MS assays for TK/PK assessment.
• Ensure GLP regulations and SOPs are followed in all activities.
