Job summary

Seaport Therapeutics seeks a bioanalysis co-op to join the Discovery team in a lab-based role focused on LC-MS for drug screening. The position offers exposure to preclinical workflows within a startup environment and contributes to advancing candidates from our Glyph prodrug platform.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related fields, with prior lab/co-op experience and a solid foundation in LC-MS, HPLC,

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Master’s level program in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Previous Co-op or lab experience preferred.
Knowledge of HPLC, reverse phase chromatography, mass spectrometry instrumentation, enzyme kinetics, protein precipitation, liquid-liquid extraction.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

Executing in vitro experiments, using LC-MS, for the screening of lipid prodrugs to support preclinical discovery
Processing and analyzing in vivo samples (plasma, lymph fluid, etc.) to generate DMPK data for various prodrugs
Contributing to the development and optimization of LC-MS methods for both quantitative and qualitative analysis
Routine use and troubleshooting of LC-MS instrumentation
Documenting all experiments using an electronic notebook and analyzing data for reports and regular internal presentations
