Job summary

Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Welch Township, MN is seeking a friendly, detail-focused team member to promote and sell pull tab and admission packages while delivering a high level of guest service.

You will provide information on bingo and property promotions, operate the POS, process cash and payouts, reconcile inventories, and maintain neat paperwork and a clean work area; cross-training in Bingo and Pull Tabs is included.

Qualifications

• 6 months cash handling experience.
• 6 months previous sales and guest service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Accurate and detail-oriented with good math skills.

Pay Rate: $16.00 an hour

SUMMARY:

To promote and sell pull tab and admission packages. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide information to guests on bingo and other property amenities and promotions
• Operate point-of-sales system and handle cash and cash equivalents
• Follow established policies and procedures
• Reconcile inventory, cash received and payouts
• Complete paperwork ensuring neatness and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Cross-train in all areas of Bingo and Pull Tabs

Knowledge And Certification, Skills And Abilities

Knowledge and Certification

Required

• 6 months cash handling experience

Required Training

• Treasure Island guest service training
• Point-of-sale register training
• Training in all areas of Bingo and Pull Tabs including programs, pricing, promotions, etc.
• Any position-related training as determined by department manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to walk and / or stand for periods of up to 8 hours
• Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel frequently
• Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
• Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds infrequently
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
• Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed on the gaming floor, which has flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
• Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
• Occasionally overtime may be required
• Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
