Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Bindery Trainee for 1st shift (8:00am–4:00pm) in Hanover, PA. The role supports the Binder Operator, helping maintain schedules and quality while performing trainee duties under the General Plant Supervisor.

Pay rate is $16.00 per hour. Duties include replenishing binder pockets, completing staging with cover and job jackets, assisting bindery staff, following safety procedures, and general housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Flexible and organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and schedules from customers.

Responsibilities

• Replenish binder pockets during the production run.
• Complete staging including verification of cover, folding status, F&G approval status, and job jackets.
• Assist Collator, Trimmer, and other Bindery personnel as required.
• Follow all required safety procedures such as PPEs, Ergonomics, etc. Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.
• Assist with housekeeping in the bindery area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Previous experience working in manufacturing
• Good mechanical aptitude

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing on production floor
• Ability to frequentlylift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
