SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a Bindery Operator 2 for a 12-hour rotating day shift (7:00am - 7:00pm) in Chanhassen, MN.

This full-time role requires operating and setting up various bindery machines to produce books, catalogs, and manuals. You will read work orders, adjust equipment, monitor quality and productivity, and supervise the crew through production steps to ensure timely delivery of finished products.

Qualifications

• Experience operating bindery equipment and setting up multiple stations.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications.
• Knowledge of coated and uncoated paper stock and finishing processes.
• Ability to calculate distances, clearances and fits for machine setups.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines and finishing equipment.
• Operate automatic bindery machines with multiple functions and stations.
• Inspect equipment for safety and maintain machine operating condition.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production and monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations for a complete finishing product.
