Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Crawfordsville, IN, is seeking a Light Equipment Operator 2 to run finishing and packaging lines at the South Plant. You will set up machines, adjust for production, and log counts into the system, supporting accurate build packets.

The role requires reading specs, basic math, and some computer use. Night shifts (8- or 10-hour) with a starting rate of $20.75–$25.00 per hour plus a 7% bump on second/third shift, plus benefits and training.

Light Equipment Operator 2

Starting Rate:

$20.75-$25.00 per hour with a 7% increase for second and third shift.

Additional Incentives:

• $100 Safety Shoe Reimbursement

• Company will provide all tools necessary
• Training provided

Work Hours:

nights; 8 and 10-hour shifts.

Location:

We have 2 locations in Crawfordsville: North Plant at 1009 Sloan Street; South Plant at 600 State Road 32 West. This position is for our South Plant.

As a Light Equipment Operator, you will:

• Operate finishing and packaging equipment
• Set up and adjust machines for production
• Create job packets and enter final counts into software
• Verify correct information is gathered at the start of the shift to complete the job

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently
• Ability to stand for the duration of your shift

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and follow job specifications
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
• Ability to do basic math and computer knowledge
