Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a dedicated Bindery Operator 1 for our South Plant in Crawfordsville, IN. The role starts at $22.00–$27.40 per hour with a 7% increase for the 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Work hours are 6:30am–2:30pm, first shift, at the South Plant location. We provide training, tools, and reimbursement options to support safety and performance, with additional incentives as outlined in the posting.

Qualifications

• Ability to do basic math and use a computer.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a single piece of machinery.
• Participate in training to promote into a Lead operator position.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Learn to use tools to measure and adjust the machine to target levels.
• Learn and perform preventative maintenance tasks as required.
• Assist lead operator with guiding crew members.
• Work in a team environment and cross-train with others.

Bindery Operator 1

Starting Rate: $22.00 - $27.40 with a 7% increase for second and third shift.

Work Hours: 1st shift 6:30am-2:30pm

Location:

We have 2 locations in Crawfordsville, IN: North Plant at 1009 Sloan Street; South Plant at 600 State Road 32 West. This job is for the South Plant.

As an Assistant Machine Operator, you will:

• Set up, Adjust & Operate a single piece of Machinery
• Participate in training to prepare to promote into a Lead operator position
• Inspect equipment for safety issues
• Monitor quality, output and productivity
• Learn to utilize tools to measure and adjust machine to target levels
• Learn and engage in preventative maintenance tasks as required
• Assist lead operator with providing guidance to crew members
• Work in a team environment and cross-train with others

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 20-50 pounds
• Ability to stand for the duration of your shift

Qualifications:

• Ability to do basic math and computer knowledge
